Fail

The whole losing weight thing hasnt been going that great.

In order to try to get myself on track I actually weighed myself this weekend.  I havent even tried to do it since Super Bowl Sunday.  I can only imagine I gained at least a couple pounds on Sunday.

In an attempt to try some new recipes, especially those from Hungry Girl, today I tried Tofu Shirataki noodles.  Definitely not racing back to the store to buy some more.  They might be ok in soup or something like that but as a main entree they were rather nasty.  In case your wondering, they dont really have much taste but theyre super rubbery and chewy - no thank you.  I will sacrifice the few extra calories for the real deal.

Cant win them all.....

Damn City Living!

95% of the time I wish I lived out in the country.  A nice quiet place with a big pond where you can sit outside and see the stars as if you were in outer space.

AND NO RESTAURANTS!!!

I did soooo well all day.  All my meals before I got home equaled about 800 calories.  Then I got home and had nothing to eat that wasn't frozen.  I thought about going down to Cleats for wings, decided on Taco Bell.  I did 3 Volcano tacos - could have been worse but could have been better.  Out of all the money I spent at the store yesterday I bought nothing to make for dinners, outside what I made last night.

This Saturday I am definitely hitting the market for some fruits and veggies.  Going to try making the Moussaka from the Biggest Loser cookbook, which Ive been dying to try.  Also gonna need a ham hock so I can make some split pea soup! Yum yum yum!!

Trying this again...

So last year my goal was to lose 29 pounds before my 29th birthday.  Well that definitely fell through.

There were a lot of reasons that Im not even going to begin to place blame on right now.  The bottom line is that I didnt stick with it.  This year WILL BE the year I get my ass in gear, mostly because this year I have great support behind me in the form of my boyfriend.  He too has his weight loss goals and we are hell bent on reaching them.

Its easy to be a bum in the winter because its sooooo cold out. My goal for this week is to walk at least 60 minutes a day.  I am also going to start working on getting what I eat in check.  A couple weeks ago I bought two of the Hungry Girl cookbooks which I absolutely love.  Im going to try to pick at least a couple recipes a week to try and will highlight them here.  I also have my Biggest Loser cookbook to pick from :)

Anyways, tomorrow starts the new program!  Check back later for weigh in and measurement info!!!
